Men in white or ivory shirts? Does it matter?

I think that white next to ivory makes ivory look dirty and dingy. I rented ivory shirts for the guys in my wedding, because they all wore their own black suits. So we only had to get them matching shirts and shoes. It only cost $40 per person, see if tux rental places near you will rent shirts.
