Why isn't my Zoo Tycoon 2 running?

I'm trying to install a game onto my computer. But every time I put the game in, it won't run it. I'm not very skilled with computers so any tips would be appreciated!I have 1 GB RAM, 1.74 GHz Processor, and a dedicated video card.
