Yamah raptor kids 4 wheeler?

I bought this for my son for his birthday. I worked great the first day. The battery ran out so I recharged it according to the manual-14 hours. I then hooked it back up. It ran good for 5 minutes then stopped, started, stopped started.... The manual said the circuit breaker may be tripping and that this is caused by overloading it, but my son is only 30 pounds and riding on a flat surface. Customer service is not open. Anyone have any ideas? I have a very sad little boy.
