He's definitely into you! He's just nervous about telling you directly, therefore he makes sure you hear about it through others. Bring it up casually. He wouldn't say 'love you' for nothing though, he's sending subliminal messages. He's shy, give him a break. I'd be nervous as hell to get rejected. Make it easier on him and be the one to initiate everything. ;)
