Is this betta waste or something to be concerned over?

I jsust went to feed my betta and there's brown stuff that looks kindof like his food hanging from him? it's brown like the pellets and shaped sortof like the freeze-dried bloordowrms. is this waste and should I just wait for him to pass it before feeding him? or should I be worried? there's two, one out that's still attached and another partially out, the attached one appears to be attached to the other I guess, becaus eit doesn't look attached at all but it's dragging with him. is this just waste? ^-^;
