Computer monitor says no signal and my computer reboots but doesnt shut off?

when computer reboots start tapping f8 button and it will take u to options screen. click on safemode and it will give u an option continue or do system restore . u go ahead n chceck sytem restore and go back to before started and if cant remmeber go back as far as u can on calendar on there n do it that way.
